The sophomore album 'Contra' from Vampire Weekend has this catchy little number on it, with a catchy video to match. With hilarious cameos from Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas and Lil' John, I think 'Giving Up the Gun' is my new favorite video!

It's Finally Here: 2010 Sasquatch Festival
For months we have been anticipating the big reveal of the lineup for the 2010 Sasquatch! Music Festival....and it's finally here! This year, it seems that the festival is focusing more on the indie bands that may not be commercially successful but are sure to send Pacific NW hipsters into a tizzy. And of course, we can't ignore the random addition of Public Enemy to the line-up...WTF? Amazing!

In More Dead Weather News....
According to Spin Magazine, the new Dead Weather album is almost finished!
Set for a release in April the new record will be "bluesier and heavier" than the band initially thought. Jack will even be stepping out from behind the drums and sing lead on a song called "Blue Blood Blues" - which will also be the band first single.
This is very exciting news as my copy of Horehound has been on repeat since it's release last July.
If you are a fan of The Raconteurs, Brendan Benson is doing a tour in support of his solo album. I've never seen a solo Brendan live but his sound is definitely more folk (although I haven't heard his new album My Old Familiar Friend) than the soul-crushing guitar that I'm used to with Jack White - nevertheless I'm sure Brendan will not disappoint.
